Anybody who’s seen a single inning of LA Angels baseball this year knows how good Shohei Ohtani is.

Ohtani is the AL MVP of this season so far. Having arguably the greatest season of all time, Ohtani sports a 3.21 ERA as the Angels’ ace while also being the best hitter in the MLB. He has a league-leading 34 home runs and a league-leading .679 slugging percentage.

One thing that many may not realize, however, is the type of person he is, and the type of character he has. He’s just the type of guy with a personality that’s just impossible not to root for.

Shohei Ohtani has proven his selfless personality to the LA Angels and their fans.

Shohei Ohtani patrols the LA Angels’ dugout and picks up trash on a regular basis. It really shows that despite being a superstar athlete, Ohtani always prioritizes strong character every day.

Wait, he even does it on the field? In the batter’s box? This dude’s a stand-up human being.

Keep an eye out for it the next time you go to a game. Heck, keep an eye out for it the next time you watch him on TV. It’s literally just part of his everyday routine.

It’s on his to-do list, after shoving on the mound, and raking in the batter’s box.

You’ll for sure find it as long as you look out for it. It happens literally all the time; even in the All-Star Game.

This guy’s just so likeable. Truly turning into one of the most likeable players in baseball, if not the most likeable.

How many ballplayers do you see being that considerate of the people around them and the stadium/field workers?

Next. Maddon needs to show more faith in Suarez

Not only is Ohtani having the best season of all time, but he’s also got one of the greatest personalities that the game’s ever seen.
