No. 2 outfielder for the LA Angels to trade for and pair with Mike Trout: Starling Marte

Starling Marte and Mike Trout would be a great match for the LA Angels coming out of the trade deadline.

Marte is actually pretty similar to Trout this year. He’s gone off at the plate when he’s been able to step up to it, but he hasn’t been able to step up to it all that much.

Marte has only played in 57 games this season. He’s healthy now, though, and if the Angels want to go for this thing, they are going to want a marquee piece.

Marte has hit .294/.393/.450, and he’s stolen 19 bases.

The Angels are slow on the base paths, and can really use somebody who can get on like that and get over.

Marte is also a great defensive player, having won multiple gold gloves in this league.

Pairing Marte with Trout would be a dominant outfield, and would be one of the best in baseball for sure.
