OC Dugout has great deals on Angels memorabilia and more
I was eight years old when I went to my first baseball camp. It was hosted by Chapman University at Hart Park in the great City of Orange, California. The great thing about this camp was it was not only full of baseball, but at the end of the week all the campers got to meet a big leaguer and get his autograph. My first autograph was by then Angels first baseman J.T. Snow.
I didn’t know much about the game yet, but I did know I loved playing, watching and now getting autographs. I went back to that same camp a couple weeks later and got then Dodgers catcher, and eventually the greatest hitting catcher of all-time, Mike Piazza’s autograph. Not only was I hooked on the game, but now I was hooked on a whole new hobby—getting autographs.
I spent a lot of time at the Big A as a kid with a bag filled with cards, pictures, mini bats or anything else I thought I could get signed. I remember getting Tim Salmon’s autograph and how elated I was. As I grew older, my love for the game grew and so did my love for signatures and other pieces of sports memorabilia. My first big piece (besides my Piazza and Snow cards) was a signed Nolan Ryan picture of him punching Robin Ventura in the face.
I am always looking for that next big piece to add to my growing collection. If you are like me and love sports and the memorabilia that comes with it, then you understand the struggle it can be to find a quality piece for a reasonable price. I often find very interesting things, but at very high prices.
One day, I signed on to Facebook and saw that a friend had tagged me in a post from a place called OC Dugout. They were offering an autographed Vladimir Guerrero Angels jersey for only $125. I couldn’t believe it and jumped at the deal. Almost immediately, I received an email from “Dugout Brian” thanking me for my order and asking me if I wanted to have it mailed to me or pick it up in store. I went in and was awestruck at some of the pieces the store has and how reasonable to beyond reasonable the prices are.
Some of you may know the store from its days in Buena Park, but as of mid-November of this year, they have moved to Anaheim. They are very close to the Honda Center and Angel Stadium off of Sunkist in between Howell and Cerritos Avenue. OC Dugout has tons of great Angels memorabilia such as Mike Trout signed jerseys, balls, bats, pictures; Rod Carew signed cards, Nolan Ryan cards and pictures, Tim Salmon, J.T. Snow, Mark Langston, Chuck Finley, David Freese, Kole Calhoun, Jim Abbott autographed items and so many more Angel players.
They don’t just cater to Angel fans, they have a huge collection of other sports and celebrity autographs as well. When these guys say that they are the leader in athlete and celebrity autograph signings, they mean it.
I have now purchased several items from OC Dugout and not only did I get great prices on each item, the customer service was fantastic as well. I highly recommend OC Dugout for all your memorabilia needs. As I write this, they have just released word that they will be having all-time great, 10-time Gold Glove winning, 2-time National League MVP, legendary catcher of the “Big Red Machine” Johnny Bench at their store for a signing on Dec. 19 from 10 a.m.-noon.
Stop by the store this Friday as well for huge Black Friday deals, doors open at 8 a.m. Also visit ocsportscards.com to see everything they have to offer. I will be there when doors open. My autograph is free!
The store is located at 1515 S. Sunkist St. Ste. G, Anaheim, CA, 92806.
