This is great news for the fans and for the team. Staying in Anaheim at Angels stadium brings that home team feeling to the fans. There is also the news of Albert Pujols and his progression with the rehab of his right foot. He’s able to partake in some batting practice, which is a plus. Supposedly, he’ll start running this week and see how it goes. It would appear that Pujols is one step closer to an Opening Day start.
Mike Trout is also ready to capitalize on his MVP season last year. Trout is planning on having another big year and getting that first postseason win of his career. Certainly, spirits are high in Tempe with the Los Angeles Angels.
This season feels different than seasons past. While the Angels look completely different on paper, they also have a certain confidence in their chances this season. That confidence radiates from general manager Billy Eppler to Trout. It appears the team is buying into what Eppler wants to accomplish.

The relationship between Mike Scioscia and Eppler is structurally sound. This is something that is key after the massive fallout of Sosh and former GM Jerry Dipoto. The Angels appear to have that communion in which everyone is on the same page.

The only dark spot on the Angels thus far is the departure of Jered Weaver. It was rather sad to see Weaver sign with the San Diego Padres. However, you have to be glad that he has found a home to pitch at least one more season. The Angels aren’t scheduled to face the Padres this season.
There is a lot to be excited about this season. The Angels will be much improved from the team we saw last season. The Angels will play the Milwaukee Brewers on February 25th.
