LA Angels Look To Take Second Series Against Rangers
The LA Angels won a game and lost two in their last series against the Rangers. With the Angels looking solid in their last few games they are hoping to come out of this series on top.
The LA Angels are going to be entering their next series with a 4-game winning streak. That streak came at a much needed time. Entering the series against Oakland a few days ago the Angels sat at fourth place in the AL West.
The series against Oakland saw some marked improvements for multiple Angel players. J.C. Ramirez pitched 7 shutout innings, and gave an argument for himself to stay in the rotation. The offense also had a much needed awakening Wednesday night when they had a total of fourteen hits. Then they followed it up Thursday night with another win that extended their win streak to 4, raising their record to 12-12.

A look at the series against Texas:
The major thing to keep an eye on during this series is the offense. Their bats have been waking up a little more this week. If they can keep that momentum going into the series at the Rangers then I can see them extending their streak.
The Angels pitching has also been improving even with all the injuries in the way. Tyler Skaggs will be pitching the first game in the series. The second game we see Jesse Chavez take the mound for the Angels.
The starter for the third game has not yet been announced. Unless the Angels decide to try and give someone else a chance to start, chances are we will see J.C. Ramirez again.
The Angels have been relying heavily on their pitching staff during their recent up swing and for the most part the staff has delivered. Bud Norris has been on fire saving three of the four wins in the Angels current four game winning streak.
Can they keep pitching well against a good hitting team like the Rangers, let’s find out.

Albert Pujols is 5 for 15 (.333) with three RBI’s against Perez.
