LA Angels Have Season Defining Road Trip Ahead
The LA Angels continued their miracle season Wednesday night in their 10-8 comeback victory over the Oakland Athletics. On Friday, they start a ten game road trip against three division foes that will either make or break their season.
The LA Angels are on the brink of the playoffs after their three game sweep of the Athletics. They sit one game behind the Minnesota Twins for the second Wild Card spot. The Yankees are two games ahead with the first spot, but they have lost three in a row and are 4-6 in their last ten games.

The Angels travel to Texas to take on the Rangers in a weekend series. The Rangers, 66-66 this year, have been staying in the playoff picture since dealing their ace Yu Darvish. However, the Halos are 5-8 this season against the Rangers. In their last meeting, the Angels dropped three of four games. Hopefully the Angels can ride their current wave into the series against the Rangers and come out with a series victory.
After a series in Texas, the Angels head back to California to take on the A’s in another three game set. The Angels are 10-6 this season against Oakland, and are just coming off one of their best series of the season. The entire series showed the complete team come together, with Mike Trout sitting out the first two games. Nonetheless, he came back for the series finale, going 4-4 with a walk. This is a series the Angels should look to sweep, and should be disappointed with any other outcome.
The Halos will end their road trip by heading even further north for a series against the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners have been struggling lately, losing five games in a row. The last time these teams met, it ended in a four game sweep for the Halos. The Angels may even have Garrett Richards back for this series, giving them a huge bump for their playoff push.
