Trevor Bauer is an extremely talented pitcher who the Angels would love to have on their team as he would immediately assume the role of the team ace.  The Santa Clarita native who pitched in college at UCLA has a tremendous upside.  Unfortunately, the asking price could be also great like it would be to acquire Syndergaard.

Bauer’s asking price will be slightly lower than Syndergaard.  Bauer is 68-55 with a 3,92 ERA in his career that briefly started in Arizona before moving to Cleveland for the past seven seasons. Bauer has pitched very well over the past couple of seasons going 38-23 with a 3.14 ERA.  His little tirade yesterday afternoon may scare some teams off which might make the asking price for Bauer even lower.

However, with Cleveland in the pennant race and Bauer still under club control through 2020 the asking price still may cost the Angels a top prospect or two.  The Angels might not have to give up Jo Adell to get Bauer, but they still will have to part with Brandon Marsh and possibly a Jahmai Jones or even Suarez or Sandoval.
