The LA Angels look to get right tonight, as they head to Minnesota to take on the Twins.
The Angels are currently on a three-game skid, but have played good teams in their last two series.
No disrespect to the Twins, but they’re not looking so great this year. This is a chance to get things right for Anaheim, and the road to getting back to .500 begins today.
If the Angels can sweep the Twins, which they’re capable of doing, the Angels will improve to 50-48. They are currently 10.5 games back of the division lead, and need to turn it around now so they can buy at the deadline and successfully push for the postseason.
What Time is the Angels Game Today?

Angels vs Twins Pitching Matchup
For the Angels, struggling Andrew Heaney (5-7) will take the mound. He has had a disappointing year this year, and is sporting a 5.56 ERA. As for the Twins, Kenta Maeda will be on the bump.
Maeda has been struggling this year too, posting a 4.71 ERA, although he has a winning record (4-3) with a bad team.
Angels Starting Lineup

- Shohei Ohtani//DH
- Justin Upton//LF
- Jared Walsh//1B
- Max Stassi//C
- Brandon Marsh//CF

Mike Trout injury
Mike Trout will not be playing today, but on the bright side he has recently been seen running before a game. That’s a big step in calf strain/tear recovery.
Anthony Rendon injury
Anthony Rendon will also not be playing today, and is still likely at least a week out from playing again.
Angels vs Twins Prediction Today
I have the Angels beating the Twins tonight. The Angels are due for a big game, as they have hung in there against a good team in both A’s losses, but just weren’t able to finish.
There’s a big difference between the A’s and the Twins. The Angels underrated offense should be able to pounce on Maeda. They are in the top 10 in runs scored this year, while the Twins can’t relate.
Couple that with Maeda struggling this season (and particularly in his last start), and the Halos should have this one in the bag.
