The LA Angels will be taking on the Toronto Blue Jays in a double-header today, who come in hot after taking three of four from the Boston Red Sox.

They’ve won eight out of their last ten, and the Halos are entering this series coming off of back-to-back losses and a series loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Jays have entered AL East Title discussion, and are seven games back of the first-place Tampa Bay Rays. The Angels are ten games back, and are eight back from the wild card. If the Halos want to claw back into playoff contention, they need to win at least one game of this double-header today.

What Time is the Angels Game Today?

The first game of this double-header is at 3:07 PM PT, and the second is at 7:07 PM PT.

What Channel is the Angels Game on Today?

Both games are on Bally Sports West for the Angels broadcast, and SNET for the Jays broadcast.

Angels vs Blue Jays Odds Today

For the first game, the line is Angels +1.5. The money line is set at +145 Angels and -175 Blue Jays. The over/under is set at 7.5, and it’s -110 to take both the over or the under.

For the second game, the line is also Angels +1.5. The money line is +150 for the Halos, and -120 for the Jays. The over/under sits at 7.5, and it’s -115 to take the over and -105 to take the under.

Angels Pitcher Today

For the first game, young righty Chris Rodriguez will take the mound. Rodriguez showed promise in his first Major League start, and has pitched in the pen earlier in the year. He is 2-1 with a 3.86 ERA on the year.

For the second game, young lefty Jose Suarez is going to be on the bump. He has exceled in the bullpen, and not had the numbers when starting. He has, however looked good as a starter through the eye test at times.

He has a 3.60 ERA on the year with a 5-4 record.

Angels Starting Lineup

The starting lineup for the first game is:

  1. David Fletcher//2B
  2. Shohei Ohtani//DH
  3. Phil Gosselin//1B
  4. Jose Iglesias//SS
  5. Justin Upton//LF
  6. Jo Adell//RF
  7. Max Stassi//C
  8. Juan Lagares//CF
  9. Jack Mayfield//3B

The starting lineup for the second game hasn’t been released yet.

Mike Trout Injury

Mike Trout is still not yet ready to be back yet from his calf injury. He’s seemed to be making very slow progress, and it’s unclear why this rehab is taking so long.

Angels vs Blue Jays Prediction Today

The Blue Jays will take Game One, but the Angels will have an easier time getting to Ross Stripling than Steven Matz. Matz has been the better pitcher this year, and I don’t see the Angels dropping both games.

They have two solid arms going today, and both have potential to cool off a hot Blue Jays lineup.
