Mike Trout Injury

Joe Maddon recently spoke on the likelihood of Mike Trout coming back, and it’s not looking good for him.

“I don’t expect him to play today or tomorrow, or anytime soon, because there’s still that process of having to get at-bats,” said Maddon. “… It’d be very difficult.”

We’re in a tough spot because we don’t have much time left in the season, and Trout would need to get on a rehab start before he can play up here. There’s only so much time left to get that done.

Again, it would be a really tough task for the Angels to take two of three from the White Sox here. They’re throwing Reynaldo Lopez today, who’s been very good this year (along with seemingly everyone who starts for the White Sox).

Even with Cobb back, it’s going to be difficult for the Angels to take this one. Especially with Shohei Ohtani slumping.
