Los Angeles Angels Prospect Roundup: May 16-22
The Los Angeles Angels system had an eventful week. One prospect threw a no-hitter, Triple-A Salt Lake had many changes. All prospect rankings are according to MLB Pipeline.
1. Taylor Ward, C, Class A Advanced Inland Empire

Ward had arguably his best week of the season. He registered back-to-back multi-hit games last Monday and Tuesday against Rancho Cucamonga and Lancaster, and hit a double in that game against Lancaster for his third extra-base hit of the season. The Los Angeles Angels hope he continues to progress.

Jones, 18, is of the youngest prospects and is in extended spring training and is expected to begin the season with the Rookie level Orem Owlz, who begin play June 17.
3. Nate Smith, LHP, Triple-A Salt Lake
Season: 2-1, 3.54 ERA
Smith did not pitch this week due to the Bees’ wacky week of weather.
