The LA Angels appear to be possibly getting Mike Trout back from injury soon.

Trout has began running, which is a huge step in his road to recovery.

The Angels will no doubt improve when their franchise player gets back. Therefore, they’ll consider buying at the trade deadline. If they do, there are a few outfielders who are speculated to be on the trade block that would be great to pair with Trout.

No. 3 outfielder for the LA Angels to trade for and pair with Mike Trout: Michael A. Taylor

Michael A. Taylor with Mike Trout and Justin Upton on the LA Angels would be an awesome outfield for the Halos.

Because, Taylor has what the Angels need most in the outfield; defense.

Trout’s a solid defensive player, and Upton’s alright. That’s really all that is. Adam Eaton has played great defense in the past, but isn’t the player he once was in the field.

Taylor is an outstanding defensive player, and has been better than Eaton offensively this year. I like the Adam Eaton signing, but I think that acquiring Taylor can provide the Angels with some nice depth to go along with the guys that they have.

Taylor should likely start if he comes over, even when Trout and Upton get back, but even if he sits he’ll still provide the Angels with an important piece that should find plenty of good opportunities to see the field.

No. 2 outfielder for the LA Angels to trade for and pair with Mike Trout: Starling Marte

Starling Marte and Mike Trout would be a great match for the LA Angels coming out of the trade deadline.

Marte is actually pretty similar to Trout this year. He’s gone off at the plate when he’s been able to step up to it, but he hasn’t been able to step up to it all that much.

Marte has only played in 57 games this season. He’s healthy now, though, and if the Angels want to go for this thing, they are going to want a marquee piece.

Marte has hit .294/.393/.450, and he’s stolen 19 bases.

The Angels are slow on the base paths, and can really use somebody who can get on like that and get over.

Marte is also a great defensive player, having won multiple gold gloves in this league.

Pairing Marte with Trout would be a dominant outfield, and would be one of the best in baseball for sure.

No. 1 outfielder for the LA Angels to trade for and pair with Mike Trout: Mitch Haniger

Mitch Haniger is the best fit to pair with Mike Trout on the LA Angels due to him being exactly what they need.

They need a star right fielder, and Haniger isn’t too far from that. He’s having a really good year, recording 22 homers and 58 RBI with a .506 slugging percentage.

An outfield of Upton in left, Trout in center, and Haniger in right would be deadly. On top of that, they would be swiping him from a divisional opponent that has for some reason given the Halos fits this year.

I don’t mind Taylor Ward in right field, but I’d rather have him as a quality option off of the bench with Haniger starting in right.

Next. Who will Trout, Upton, and Rendon replace?

The former All-Star would be a great option for the Halos, as would the other two in this list. The Angels aren’t so sure they want to sell just yet, and need to have outfielders in mind for the deadline.
