Breaking down all the Angels prospects that are headed to the 2026 Arizona Fall League

The Arizona Fall League rosters were recently revealed and the Los Angeles Angels have some intriguing prospects who will be looking to turn heads in Arizona. 

The Angels will have eight prospects playing in the AFL and several of them are highly-touted. Let’s break down all eight and see who will be representing the Halos.

Here are the Angels prospects playing in the Arizona Fall League this year.

SS Arjun Nimmala

Acquired in the José Soriano trade with the Toronto Blue Jays, Nimmala is now the top-ranked prospects in the Angels’ farm system. He’s hitting .263/.372/.492 in the minors this season, so it will be great to see the 20-year-old get some more reps especially since he has already made the Soriano trade look pretty good for the Angels.

3B Jake Munroe

Ranked as the No. 20 prospect in LA’s system by MLB Pipeline, Jake Munroe has put up decent numbers in the minors this season, hitting .289/.402/.498 with 19 home runs and 62 runs batted in. His bat is promising but his defense needs work, so he will need to develop at the hot corner in Arizona.

RHP Peyton Olejnik

Drafted by the Angels in the sixth round of the 2024 MLB Draft, Olejnik would be one of the tallest pitchers in MLB history if he makes it to the big leagues someday as he stands at 6-foot-11.

He has a 4.47 ERA on the season in High-A, so he has some work to do to prove he can be a future piece for the Angels either as a starter or a reliever.

RHP Kyle Robinson

The Angels got 23-year-old Kyle Robinson in the trade that sent Kirby Yates to the Pittsburgh Pirates and he has a 5.74 ERA on the season. His numbers haven’t been great since joining LA’s organization, so maybe the AFL is the fresh start he needs.

RHP Sam Tookoian

Selected in Round 20 of the 2025 MLB Draft, Tookoian has a 3.92 ERA on the season in High-A and has converted 15 of 20 save opportunities, so maybe he can be a future closer option down the road for the Angels or at least a bullpen arm.

RHP Yeferson Vargas

Acquired in the Luis Garcia trade with the Boston Red Sox back in 2024, Vargas has struggled this year to the tune of a 6.45 ERA in 99 innings pitched. He will be looking to find some form in the AFL.

RHP Najer Victor

Najer Victor pitched well enough in Double-A this season to earn a promotion to Triple-A, but he’s struggled with a 6.48 ERA in 15 appearances since the promotion so he too is looking to bounce back.

1B Ryland Zamborowski

This season Zamborowski has hit .279/.368/.538 in the minors with 16 homers and 68 runs batted in. He’s got some pop in his bat so he will look to flash it in Arizona where the ball has a tendency to fly.

There are some intriguing names on this list. While Nimmala is the one everyone will have their eyes on, this is a chance for all of these guys to impress as they try to climb up the minor league ladder.
